Marcie holds a Master’s in Counseling degree from Mid America Nazarene University, in Olathe KS. Her therapeutic approach includes looking at the family system and determining solutions based on the client’s strengths. She works with a variety of issues including grief/loss, depression, anxiety, family conflicts, life changes and stressors, spirituality, and trauma.
Helping couples find their love and commitment to each other is a passion for Marcie. A true partnership takes work, and turning towards each other over 80% of the time! Communication skills and positive sentiment for each other are important for every couple to learn so that they can grow and stay together for years to come. She has the ability to help strengthen couple relationships in both marital and premarital counseling where she uses the PREPARE/ENRICH assessments, as well as her training in marital therapy techniques from the Gottman Institute.
Besides counseling, Marcie loves time with family and friends, reading/learning, and going for long walks while listening to music and podcasts.
